 MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) Games Comparison Between 
Mobile Legends and Arena of Valor

Abstract

In this era, everything is very simply and easy to acces even that online game.  When we was child online games is very difficult to create because of the internet access and devices that support to made it. But now, we can playing with other people by online games like Mobile Legends, Arena of  Valor, and PUBGM. The Mobile Legends and AoV, games with Multiplayer Online Battle Arena type, are popular today, where they can be played on any smart phone anywhere and anytime. One of the main commodities in this game is the premium items. to get the virtual goods players have to exchange some money that can be purchased through google play store or electronics stores. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of enjoyment value, character competency value, visual authority value, monetary value, character identification, and the satisfaction of the game against the intention of repurchase. This research uses survey method to collect data. The Sampling method is non- probabilities with purposive sampling approach. The number of samples in this study is 130 respondents, with the criteria playing a Mobile Legends or AoV and make purchases of premium items on the games.

Introduction 

The rapid development of technology impacts several sectors, including the telecommunications sector, where today's mobile phones enable people to do various things only through their cell phones. Rapid technological advances also affect the behavior of technology use, especially cell phones. Today's cell phone itself is one of the things that cannot be separated from human hands. Mobile phones are also equipped with an operating system that can run various software or applications that must first be done through application store services such as the google play store on the Android operating system and the App Store application store on the iOS operating system. The function of cell phones, which used only to call and send short messages, is now used as a means of communication and as a medium of entertainment. One of the entertainments that is often used on cell phones today, especially millennials, is gaming. The game industry is now starting to shift from previously dominated by game consoles, such as the Playstation and Xbox, and computer games are slowly starting to move towards mobile games. At this time, we can play the games contained in the mobile phone anytime and anywhere. Internet support, where the internet has become a basic human need today, makes game developers create games where players can connect by using an internet connection. In addition to the increasingly sophisticated specifications of mobile phones and closer to computers, the development of the internet has also become one of the factors that make the mobile game industry able to compete with computer games and even pass it because of its practicality to be able to play games anywhere and anytime not fixated on one place if you have an internet connection. Figure 1: Dunia Games Revenue Growth Source: World of games, 2017 Mobile Legends is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game played by two teams fighting each other, with each team containing five players, and each person can choose their respective hero that can be used in the game. There are six types of heroes in this game with different roles. Namely tank, fighter, mage, support, marksman, and assassin. At the same time, AoV itself is a similar game that is a competitor to Mobile Legends. There are five types of heroes with different roles: Laner, Midlaner, Offlaner, Observer, and Jungler. The objective of both games is to destroy each other's Towers. Mobile Legends and AoV are free-to-play (F2P) games downloaded on Google Play for the Android operating system and in the app store on the iOS operating system. This game in Indonesia has become a phenomenon in society, especially among the millennial generation. According to Moonton Indonesia's Country Manager, Fendy Tan, as quoted by kumparan.com, the number of active Mobile Legends users in Indonesia has reached 8 million players and has been downloaded 35 million times. This number continues to grow along with updates that Moonton continuously makes as the developer by presenting new features and new heroes with interesting abilities. Not wanting to be outdone by its competitors, AoV claims to have 80 million active users every day and 100 million active players who have played it.

Background information layer : There are so many players online games in the world and online games tournament. 


Method  :  Collecting data by using G-form and using 19 participant. There are 10 question with option. This study uses a quantitative approach in which data analysis is carried out after a survey is conducted to respondents and then tabulated into numerical data. The survey method is a measurement process used to gather information during a highly structure interview with the interviewer directly or without the interviewer (Cooper and Schindler, 2014: 218).

Result :  






In this research, I choose comparation between Mobile Legend and Arena of valor. And the things that compared in the Gform are ;  Graphic, Events, System, Hero (character in the games). Based on the data that I got from 19 participant, they are prefer choosing Mobile Legends than Arena of Valor. From that data I got 94,7% choose Mobile Legend and Arena of Valor got 5,3%. And participant who chose Mobile Legend they like the graphic(21,1%), events(10,5%), hero(31,6%), and system(36,8%). And participant who chose Arena of Valor they like the graphic(33,3%), events(22,2%), hero(11,1%), and system(33,3%). And than, in this research I compared the cheaper when we top up in the games. And from the data I got Mobile Legends (83,3%) and Arena of Valor (16,7%). 





So the cheaper is Mobile Legends. And than in the participant circle the most popular between Mobile Legends and Arena of Valor is Mobile Legends (89,5%) and Arena of Valor (10,5%). The conclusion from this research is Mobile Legends has the most popular than Arena of Valor even the game play is quiet same. 

Discussion : On my point of view, from my G-form research the most popular MOBA(Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) is Mobile Legends. People like the graphic, events, hero, and the system is more proper than Arena ov Valor. And also, in the tournament Mobie Legends is the most famous online games tournament.

Conclusion :   As we know most Indonesian people from the young to the adult are very enthusiastic about Mobile Legends.  From Mobile Legends we can get some mony from any sources like ; Youtube content,tournament. And also, now the government have been facilitated for Indonesian E-sports.

In this story the author trying to tell us about Mrs. Consuela Rosenheim  that she want to buy a special gift for her birthday. The story began with Rosenheim family namely Mr. Victor Rosenheim and his wife Mrs Consuela to go to London. Both of them have different purpose, Mrs  Rosenheim is looking for  the best gift for her birthday and Mr. Rosenheim was hoping to take over a small merchant bank that had not benefited from the recession.The Rosenheims flew ito London from their home in New York. In London Mrs Rosenheim starting looking for her gift. And than Mrs Rosenheim she has been found the gift that she wanted, that is an expensive jewelry. The jewelry tha she want is in House of Graff with the price one million pounds. After that she persuade her husband to buy the jewelry as her birthday gift. By the way made her husband was entranced by her beauty and making love with her. But at the time of transaction took place, her husband would just bought the jewelry with half price in offer and he give check in the number of half  price to the seller and after that they are go out. After that Mrs Rosenheim  go to a little hotel to meet her mistress(Mr. Carvalho)  and persuade him to buy the jewelry that she want. By the way made Carvalho was entranced with her beauty. Same like her husband mr Cavalho also just want payed the jewelry with half the price and left his check with number five hundred million pounds.  And finally she has been got her jewelry that she wanted by using her husband and her affair. Her husband payed 50% and her affair payed 50% without her husband and her affair known.


POINT OF VIEW

In the story “CHEAP AT HALF THE PRICE” is used third person Point of View. Because the author is narrating us in every tragedy in the story about the characters and than on that story used (he/she).

She managed one piece of thin unbuttered toast and a stab at a boiled egg. Once the breakfast tray had been removed, Consuela made a couple of phone calls to confirm luncheon dates for the two days she would be in London. She then disappeared into the bathroom.


PLOT

CHEAP AT HALF THE PRICE, this story is started with descripting about Consuela Rosenheim background. And after that this story tell us about Rosenheim family named Mr. Victor Rosenheim and Mrs. Consuela Rosenheim. They are went to London together from their house in New York but Mr. Rosenheim and his wife they have different bussines.

Women are naturally superior to men, and Consuela Rosenheim was no exception. Victor Rosenheim, an American banker, was Consuela’s third husband, and the gossip columns on both sides of the Atlantic were suggesting that, like a chain smoker with cigarettes, the former Colombian model was already searching for her next spouse before she had extracted the last gasp from the old one.

And than in the next step (situation) the author tell us about the situation in the London and tell us about what they (Mr. Victor and Mrs. Consuela) do in London.

The purpose of their trip was twofold. Mr. Rosenheim was hoping to take over a small merchant bank that had not benefited from the recession, while Mrs. Rosenheim intended to occupy her time looking for a suitable birthday present—for herself. Despite considerable research I have been unable to discover exactly which birthday Consuela would officially be celebrating. 

And for the conflict is started when Mrs. Consuela is looking for her birthday gift. She has been found a jewelry that very expensive but  she very interested on that jewelry. The jewelry was found at The House of Graff.

Without giving a moment’s thought to how much the object might cost, Consuela walked slowly toward the thick glass door at the entrance to the shop, and pressed a discreet ivory button on the wall. The House of Graff obviously had no interest in passing trade.

In the conflict section the author tell us the problem that is about how Mrs. Consuela get her jewelry that she want by using her husband and her affair. By the way she persuade her husband with her skill in the bed (having sex) and she did that with her affair also.

Victor awoke the following morning to discover his wife’s hand gently stroking the inside of his leg. He rolled over to face her, the memory of the previous night still vivid in his mind. They made love a second time, something they had not done for as long as he could recall.

And after that in the climax, Mrs. Consuela go to House of Graff with her affair. An her affair is doing same like her husband. He just want to pay the jewelry only at half the price and after that Mrs. Consuela’s affair leave his check on the table.

Carvalho tore out the check and left it on the counter. “I’ll give you twenty-four hours to decide. I leave for Chicago on the early evening flight tomorrow. If the check has not been presented by the time I reach my office …” Graff bowed his head slightly, and left the check on the table

And than the owner House of Graff give congratulation and appreciate to Mrs. Consuela Rosenheim because she has been get her jewelry by using her husbna and her affair. Her husband payed 50% and her affair payed 50%.

Consuela smiled and waved as the car disappeared in the direction of Piccadilly, and on this occasion she felt able to agree with her lover’s judgment. Once the car had turned the corner, she slipped back into the House of Graff. The proprietor smiled and handed over the smartly wrapped gift. He bowed low and simply said, “Happy birthday, Mrs. Rosenheim



Progressive Plot

CHEAP AT HALF THE PRICE is a story that used Progressive Plot. Because in that story the events are shown chronologically and than between events that have relation each other like in the first step ; a situation, introduction, and conflict. And than in the middle step ; rising, conflict, and climax. After that the last one step is solution.

A.PENDAHULUAN


1.PENGERTIAN FULLDAY SCHOOL


    Menurut etimologi ,kata fullday school berasal dari bahasa inggris.Terdiri dari kata full yang berarti penuh ,dan day artinya hari .Maka fullday mengandung arti sehari penuh.sedangkan school artinya sekolah.jadi arti fullday schol adalah sekolah sepanjang hari atau proses belajar mengajar yang dilakukan mulai pukul 06.45-15.00. Sedangkan menurut terminologi atau arti secara luas,fullday school mengandung arti sistem pendidikan yang menerapkan pembelajaran atau kegitan belajar mengajar sehari penuh dengan memadukan sistem pengajaran yang intensif yakni dengan menambah jam pelajaran untuk pendalaman materi pelajaran serta pengembangan diri dan kretivitas.pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan disekolah mulai pagi hingga sore hari,secara rutin sesuai dengan program pada tiap jenjang pendidikannya.Dalam fullday school lembaga bebas mengatur jadwal mata pelajaran sendiri dengan tetap mengacu pada standar nasional alokasi waktu sebagai standar minimal sesuainbobot mata pelajaran ,ditambah dengan model pendalamannya. Jadi yang terpenting dalam fullday school adalah pengaturan jadwal mata pelajaran.

   Menurutsaya dari berbagai pengertian fullday school yang tertera diatas dapat diartikan bahwa fullday school merupakan suatu sistem atau proses pembelajaran dari kedua orang tuanya.yang dilakukan seharian penuh supaya peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif  baik itu dalam bidang akademik dan non akademik serta peserta didik lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu disekolah, sehingga peserta didik tersebut tidak salah pergaulan dan terhindar dari berbagai pengaruh buruk.Dengan diterapkannya program fullday school ini, orang tua peserta didik  terutama orang tua mereka yang sangat sibuk dengan pekerjaannya menjadi lebih  tenang karena seharian anak-anaknya berada disekolah dan tidak perlu khawatir lagi  akan pengaruh buruk yang menimpa anaknya ,akan tetapi sesibuk apapun orang tua hendaklah menyempatkan waktunya untuk berinteraksi dengan anak-anaknya supaya anak tersebut tidak merasa kurang perhatian.

 dapat disimpulkan bahwa fullday school itu merupakan salah satu program yang diterapkan oleh pelajar SD dan SMP dengan diterapkannya fullday school ini semoga generasi muda indonesia akan dijauhi dari dampak negatifnya alat-alat teknologi yang semakin hari semakin canggih dan dijauhi dari bahaya narkotika yang semakin merajalela.


B. PEMBAHASAN


1. ALASAN FULLDAY SCHOOL DIBUTUHKAN

 Menurut saya alasan fullday school dibutuhkan yaitu;

a.Dengan adanya sistem pembelajaran fullday school semua pelajar akan lebih banyak waktunya hanya untuk belajar, serta tidak melakukan aktivitas yang buruk karena seharian mereka berada disekolah .belajar yang dimaksud dalam fullday ini bukan hanya sekedar belajar tentang akademik saja akan tetapi, belajar juga tentang non akademik atau ekstrakulikuler sehingga pelajar tidak merasa bosan dan jenuh ketika seharian berada disekolah


b.Karena pada saat sekarang ini  kita hidup pada zaman teknologi yang sangat canggih maka dari itu kita harus mengontrol anak-anak kita supaya tidak terpengaruh dengan dampak negatif alat-alat teknologi tersebut.dan salah satu cara mengantisifasi masalah tersebut yaitu dengan menerapkan  sistem pembelajaran fullday school atau belajar seharian penuh disekolah.


c.Dengan adanya sistem pembelajaran fullday school otomatis mutu pendidikan akan menjadi lebih berkualitas.


d.Dengan adanya penerapan fullday school ,pelajar diajarkan tentang keagamaan sehingga terciptalah pelajar yang berbudi pekerti luhur dan taat untuk beribadah.


e.Dengan adanya penerapan fullday school anak-anak menjadi tidak kesepian karena saling berinteraksi dengan teman sebayanya,apabila sudah pulang kerumah, otomatis orang tuanya pasti sudah pulang dari bekerja.Dengan demikian anak tersebut tidak akan merasa kesepian.


f.Dan alasan mengapa fullday school dibutuhkan yaitu supaya anak-anak terhindar dari pergaulan bebas serta narkoba yang sedang merajalela.


2. KEUNGGULAN DAN KEKURANGAN FULLDAY SCHOOL


Keunggulan penerapan fullday school:

a.pelajar yang menerapkan fullday scholl akan memperoleh Lebih banyak metode pembelajaran dari pada pelajar yang Menerapkan sistem reguler pada umumnya.


b.Orang tua pelajar tidak perlu mengkhawatirkan akan pengaruh buruk atau negatif yang menimpa anak-anak mereka karena seharian penuh anak-anak tersebut akan dibimbing dan di didik oleh gurunya.


c.Dengan adanya fullday school ini waktu belajar anak menjadi lebih panjang.


d.Pelajar yang menerapkan fullday school ini mempunyai banyak waktu untuk berinteraksi dengan teman sebayanya.


Kekurangan penerapan fullday school:

a.Siswa akan cepat merasa bosan karena seharian berada disekolah


b.Dengan waktu belajar yang cukup lama membuat pelajar menjadi


c.Stress dan merasa tertekan serta anak-anak akan merasa Kelelahan


d.Anak-anak kurang bersosialisasi  dengan tetangga serta orang tuanya sendiri karena terlalu lama berada disekolah dan mempunyai sedikit waktu dirumah,terkadang sepulang dari sekolah anak-anak yang menerapkan sistem fullday ini biasanya langsung istirahat karena kelelahan setelah seharian penuh berada disekolah. 

Adapun tujuan dari fullday school yaitu,untuk meninggkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang ada diindonesia,kemudian untuk menghindari pengaruh buruk peralatan teknologi bagi generasi muda diindonesia, dan yang terakhir yaitu supaya pelajar mempunyai watu belajar yang cukup lama.



C.     PENUTUP


1.     KESIMPULAN

 Dari berbagai uraian diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan sistem fullday school diindosia sangat diperlukan untuk menambah jam belajar serta supaya generasi muda indonesia terhindar dari berbagai pengaruh buruk alat-alat teknologi yang semakin canggih.selain itu dengan diterapkannya sistem fullday school ini berfungsi untuk membentuk kepribadian siswa serta dapat menciptakan pelajar yang aktif serta berbudi pekerti luhur .Namun demikian ada beberapa warga atau orang tua pelajar banyak yang tidak setuju dengan diterapkannya sistem fullday school ini karena diangap waktu belajar yang tidak efektif serta anak-anak mereka tidak mempunyai waktu yang banyak berkumpul dengan keluarga karena seharian berada disekolah,Tetapi banyak juga orang tua dari pelajar yang sangat sibuk dengan pekerjaannya sehingga mereka sangat mendukung dengan diterapkannya sistem fullday school ini supaya anak-anaknya terkontrol selama ia masih bekerja dan setidaknya ia tidak perlu terlalu khawatir akan pengaruh buruk yang akan menimpa anak-anaknya.Karena seharian anak-anaknya berada disekolah dan dibimbing oleh bapak/ibu guru.
